Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has said that Ukraine’s defeat against Russia could lead to the start of World War III. For this reason, he said that Germany and other countries belonging to the NATO military alliance should strengthen sending weapons to Ukraine.

Russian state-controlled media RT reported that he said these things at an event in Berlin.

Mateusz Morawiecki reportedly urged Germany to supply Leopard-2 tanks to Ukraine. He said Poland and Finland have promised to supply Kiev with tanks but they need Germany’s approval to actually hand them over.

The Polish Prime Minister also said that there can be no reason to stop supporting Kiev and suspend the supply of military equipment for an indefinite period of time, as the defeat in Ukraine threatens the start of World War III.

He said, “Today, Ukraine is not only fighting for its independence, but for the security of Europe. I will call on the German government to provide Ukraine with all types of weapons.
