Ukraine wanted to supply Leopard tanks to strengthen its capabilities. Despite their promise, Germany later postponed the decision. Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the president of Ukraine, is angry with that. And he blamed the West for the loss of life in the war.
In a recent tweet on social media Twitter, Mykhailo Podoliak said on Saturday, ‘Today’s indecision is killing more of us. The longer the decision is delayed, the higher the death toll of Ukrainians. So think fast.’
Last Friday, about 50 countries in the world agreed to supply heavy military weapons worth billions of dollars to Ukraine. But Germany suddenly postponed the decision to supply tanks. Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said, ‘We cannot yet say when a decision will be made and what the decision will be. This question has arisen after talking about the Leopard tank.’
But the people of Germany want to send tanks to Ukraine. That’s why hundreds of people in Berlin protested outside the Federal Chancellery building, calling on the German authorities to send Leopard tanks to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Ringkevics tweeted a joint statement by the foreign ministers of the three Baltic states.
