United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has called for solidarity and cooperation to face the dangers of the world today.
Guterres made the call at the opening ceremony of the 77th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Tuesday (September 13). The high-level session of the United Nations General Assembly will begin on September 20.
Antonio Guterres said before the start of the high-level session, ‘We face danger in working for peace, human rights and sustainable development.’
He further said that facing common challenges requires continued solidarity which we in this organization demonstrate through great commitment and potential. He also said that there will be a need for continued solidarity to face the challenges for all.
The high-level session of the UN General Assembly will begin on September 20.
