Ukraine’s Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, which is controlled by Russian forces, has been disconnected from the country’s national power grid.

BBC reported this information in a report.

The Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was completely disconnected from Ukraine’s national grid for the first time since the start of the military operation last February 24.

Sparks caused by a rocket attack near Zaporozhye knocked out the power plant’s two active power units.

Ukraine’s nuclear company Enaroatom said on Thursday that the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (JNPP) was completely disconnected from Ukraine’s electricity grid for the first time in its history due to the actions of aggressors (Russia).
