Ukraine has agreed to negotiate with Russia to end the war. The country says that Russian troops must be withdrawn from the entire occupied area. And this is the main condition. If this is not accepted, the peace treaty is not possible. However, international experts say that it is not possible for Russia to accept it.

Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, said the “main condition” of any possible talks with the Kremlin would be the return of “all Ukrainian territories” under Russian control.

From February 24 this year, the world’s second largest superpower, Russia, is conducting a ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine, a country of the former Soviet Union. In the meantime, Russia has annexed four regions of Ukraine through referendum in the last eight months. These four regions are Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson.

Meanwhile, in a Twitter message, Ukraine’s top national security official called on Western countries to continue supplying Ukraine with modern air defense systems, warplanes, tanks and long-range missiles. He said that such technology should be provided so that the Russian missiles can be destroyed before they take off.

Earlier on Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he was ready to negotiate with Russia if his country hopes to return the seized territories.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that Russia is ready for peace talks, but Kiev has repeatedly rejected talks.

After last September’s annexation of four Ukrainian regions into the Russian Federation, Zelensky said he would not agree to negotiate with Moscow as long as President Putin is in power. On the other hand, Russian officials have repeatedly said that there will be no discussion with Ukraine about the territories included in the Russian Federation.
