Moscow retaliated after a Ukrainian airstrike on a makeshift camp in the city of Makivka in the Russian-occupied Donetsk region killed at least 89 Russian soldiers. The Ministry of Defense of Russia has claimed that more than two hundred Ukrainian soldiers have died in this terrible counter-attack in the Druzhkovka region. At the same time, Moscow said that 11 US Himars missile systems given to Ukraine were destroyed. This information was reported by the Russian news media RT citing the Ministry of Defense of the country.

Russian forces destroyed several US-supplied Himmers rocket launchers and eliminated Ukrainian soldiers and dozens of foreign fighters in a new series of missile strikes, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

According to the army, two launchers were destroyed at the Druzhkovka railway station in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). A second pair of launchers, which were firing at other DPR cities, were located near the Ukrainian-controlled city of Kramatorsk.

In addition, nine Himmers rockets were destroyed near the frontline in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) and the Kherson region north of Crimea.

More than 130 soldiers were killed in “precision strikes” by Russian air forces on positions of “mercenaries” fighting for Ukraine near Kramatorsk and Maslyakovka. On the other hand, the Russian army claimed that 120 Ukrainian soldiers were killed at the Druzhkovka railway station.

On the other hand, 89 bodies of Russian soldiers were recovered from the rubble of the Ukrainian attack in Makivka.
