Two Bangladeshi students were killed in a road accident on Friday night in the Bangladeshi-dominated city of Paterson, New Jersey, USA. Besides, three more of their friends were injured in the accident.
Passaic County prosecutors and Little Falls police in New Jersey said the victims were on a pitch when a Mercedes collided with them. Shahriar died on the spot of the accident. Shakeel died on the way to the nearby St. Joseph University Hospital.
The deceased are Shahriar Uddin Ahmed (19), a second-year student in electrical engineering at MIT in Boston, and Shakil Ali (19), a computer science student at the University of Southern California.
And the injured are Tahmidur Chowdhury (19), Subrata Chowdhury (19) and Yaswa Rivera (18).
Shahriar’s home is Sylhet and Shakeel’s home is Pabna.
