A suicide bombing occurred near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, on Wednesday. AFP reported that more than 20 people were injured in the incident.

“I don’t know how many of them have died or been injured,” driver Jamshed Karimi told AFP. I saw the man blow himself up.’

Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran confirmed the blast and said, “Unfortunately there were casualties.” Security team reached the area.

The Taliban have claimed to have improved security since returning to power in August 2021, but there have been numerous bombings and attacks. IS has claimed responsibility for most of the attacks.
