Russia has said that it will not sell oil to countries that will fix the import price of fuel oil.
Russia has warned that if oil prices are fixed, the oil market will become unstable. News Al-Jazeera.
Russian spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that the companies that set the price will not be on the list of companies that receive Russian oil.
Earlier on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Novak had said the same thing.
The ongoing Russia-Ukraine war has left the oil market volatile. Especially in some European countries, the price of fuel has increased by almost 80 percent.
Russia meets the majority of fuel oil demand in Europe. As a result of the war, they are affected the most.
In such a situation, the European Union is thinking of fixing the price of Russian fuel to stabilize the matter. As if Russia can’t make much profit due to high energy prices.
On September 14, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will hold a meeting on setting prices. Apart from that, European energy ministers will also hold an emergency meeting.
