The tourism sector of Thailand, which has been affected by Corona, has started to recover. One crore tourists have arrived in the country this year.

The tourism authority of the country reported this information on Saturday.

Four crore tourists visited the country in 2019. But to deal with Corona, the country took various measures including border control.

Thailand’s tourism sector is also starting to turn around after the strict measures taken to control the corona virus have been relaxed worldwide. The Thai government expects to earn 16 billion US dollars from this sector this year.

According to official data, the number of tourists will be 2.3 million next year. Some analysts say it may take 2024 for the number of tourists to return to previous levels.

Meanwhile, when a Saudi Arabian Airlines plane landed at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport on Saturday, passengers were greeted with traditional dancing and singing.

In a speech at the airport at the time, Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-chan said the skies are now open. We want to create the belief that Thailand is still one of the (top) tourist destinations in the world.
