Since 2014, the United States has claimed that Russia has secretly spent more than 300 million or 300 billion US dollars to influence politicians in more than 24 countries around the world.
BBC reported this information in an online report.
The United States has made this claim based on intelligence assessments. The secret intelligence assessment was released on Tuesday.
“We think this is just the tip of the iceberg,” said a senior official in US President Joe Biden’s administration on condition of anonymity.
He also said that the assessment of US intelligence is that the money mentioned here is minimal. Russia may have secretly transferred more money abroad, which has not been detected.
However, Russia has not yet commented on the US complaint. On the contrary, Moscow claims that the United States is regularly interfering in foreign politics.
