Mali’s Prime Minister Choguel Kokalla Maiga has been sent on mandatory rest.
Aljazeera reported this information in a report on Sunday (August 14).
In a Facebook post on Saturday, the Prime Minister’s Office said, ‘After working for 14 consecutive months without any break, Prime Minister Choguel Kokalla Maiga has been forced to rest by his doctor. God willing he will resume his activities next week.’
Paris-based magazine Jeune Africa reported, citing close sources, that Mali’s prime minister had suffered a stroke. But an adviser to Maiger denied the news to Reuters.
