An Iranian coroner on Mahsa Amini’s death said she did not die of head and limb injuries but multiple organ failure due to cerebral hypoxia, state news agency IRNA reported on Friday.
After Mahsa Amini’s death, her father claimed that she had injured her leg and that the police were responsible for Amini’s death.
The coroner’s report said his death was ‘not caused by blunt force trauma to the head and limbs.’
The report did not say if he suffered any injuries. It is only said that he collapsed while in custody due to an ‘underlying illness’. He suffered from severe hypoxia due to ineffective cardio-respiratory resuscitation early in the critical period and consequently brain damage.
