North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un revealed his daughter to the world for the first time on Saturday. The daughter was seen holding father Kim’s hand before the country’s largest ballistic missile test. Reuters news.

North Korea tested an intercontinental ballistic missile Hwasong-17 on Friday, North Korea’s state news agency KCNA reported on Saturday. The biggest surprise on this test day was the presence of Kim’s daughter. He has never been seen in public before.

Analysts say that he definitely sent a futuristic message by bringing his daughter out in the open during the missile launch. Perhaps Kim is hinting at plans to hand over leadership of his totalitarian state to the fourth generation. It is also believed that he can do something like bringing his daughter to the public as the heir to the country’s nuclear weapons.

Although the picture of father and daughter walking together has gone viral, the name of Kim’s daughter has not been revealed anywhere.

Michael Madden, a North Korean leadership expert at the US-based Stimson Center, said: ‘This is the first observed occasion where we have seen Kim Jong Un’s daughter in a public event. It is very significant and represents a certain degree of comfort on the part of Kim Jong Un that he would bring him to the public in such a fashion.’

Jenny Town of 38 North, a Washington-based North Korea research firm, said Kim taking his daughter to a missile test and releasing photos of the two of them watching the launch suggest he will not bow to pressure to slow his weapons program.

He also said, ‘Kim may have brought the daughter to convey the legacy of his dictatorship and totalitarian state. Because the events are similar.’
