Israeli forces shot dead another Palestinian man in the latest incident of violence in the occupied West Bank. A total of 18 Palestinians including children have been killed this year.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said on Saturday that the deceased was identified as Tariq Mali (42). He was shot in the city of Ramallah. He was killed by ‘occupiers (Israeli forces) shooting at him’ near the Palestinian village of Kafr Nama.

The Israeli army released security camera footage showing a man running through the entrance to a Jewish farm and being shot by an Israeli as he tried to advance further.

Earlier on Thursday, a local Palestinian school teacher named Jawad Farid Bawakneh (57) was shot dead in the Jenin refugee camp. He was the father of six children. Adam Zabarin, a 28-year-old fighter from the Jenin Brigades armed resistance group, was also shot dead.

Persecution of Palestinians has escalated since the most right-wing government in Israel’s history, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, took power in December. Most of the 18 Palestinians killed this year were killed by Israeli forces.
