Iran has threatened retaliation against the European Union, which has blacklisted Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, as a terrorist organization.

In a Twitter post on Sunday, the country’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian warned, “Iran’s parliament is working to list the armies of European countries as terrorists.” Basically the European Parliament has shot itself in the foot. Iran will also respond accordingly.

Last Wednesday, the European Parliament voted to blacklist the IRGC as a terrorist organization. It was later included in the annual report on foreign policy and sent to European Union countries to blacklist the IRGC.
