


Indian billionaire Rakesh Jhunjhunwala (62) died while undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
According to NDTV, he felt chest pain at 6:45 am on Sunday (August 14). Later he was rushed to the hospital. But after reaching the hospital, the doctors declared him dead. A few weeks ago, he was treated at the same hospital due to kidney complications.
He is the co-founder of Akasa Airlines. His airline officially started commercial operations last week. He was known as the ‘Indian Warren Buffett’ due to his investment in the stock market. His net worth is around five and eight billion US dollars. According to the Forbes magazine list in 2021, he was the 36th richest person in India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled his death. In a tweet, Modi wrote-‘Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was invincible. He was a lively, intelligent and insightful person. He has left an indelible contribution to the economic world.’
