


Sri Lanka’s former president Gotabaya Rajapaksa may return home in the first week of next month, the country’s media Daily Mirror reported.
Quoting reliable sources in an online report on Thursday, Daily Mirror said Gotabaya may return to the country on the 2nd or 3rd of next month.
Gotabaya is currently staying with his wife in Bangkok, Thailand. From there he applied for a green card in the United States.
Last month, he fled the country to the Maldives in the face of intense protests against the country’s failure to deal with the economic crisis. From there, take a Saudi Airlines flight to Singapore. Later, after the expiry of the visa there, he went to Bangkok, Thailand. His residence visa in Thailand is valid till next November.
