At least one person was killed and 20 others injured in a bomb blast at a sweet shop in the main market of Kohlu in Pakistan’s Balochistan province on Friday, police said. Dawn’s news.
Kohlu District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Superintendent Asghar Mari said, ’21 people have been brought to the hospital after the blast. One of them died but the condition of 10 is critical. The critical ones have been shifted to a hospital in Dera Ghazi Khan city.’
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the bombing. But earlier such attacks were blamed on militants and separatists.
According to Mir Zia Langov, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Balochistan on Home Affairs, preliminary police investigations suggest that it was a remote control bomb blast.
He added, ‘Bomb disposal squad is at the spot and they will confirm the cause of the blast soon.’
