China will jointly conduct military exercises with neighboring Thailand from Sunday (August 14). China’s Defense Ministry said on Saturday that China has already sent bombers, fighter jets and early warning aircraft to Thailand.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Defense of China, this military exercise called Falcon Strike 2020 will be held at the northern base of the Royal Thai Air Force. The base is located near the Laos border.
The exercises will include air support, ground-based attacks and deployment of small and large troops.
It is said that the exercise will be conducted with the aim of increasing mutual trust and strengthening the relationship between the air forces of the two countries. Also deepen bilateral practical cooperation and continue China-Thailand comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
