US President Joe Biden arrived in Mexico to attend the North American Leaders Summit. During the meeting, Biden will reportedly discuss immigration issues and drug trafficking.

The US President was welcomed by Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador when he arrived at the newly built Felipe Angeles International Airport in the north of the Mexican capital on Sunday. Meanwhile, Biden was given a red carpet reception.

This is Biden’s first visit to Mexico after taking office as the President of the United States.

Biden will meet privately with Lopez Obrador and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday and Tuesday, and later the three together. It is also known as the ‘Three Friends’ conference.

While trade and environmental issues are expected to be discussed at the meeting, Biden will mainly focus on illegal immigration and dangerous drug trafficking.
