At least 27 people have been killed in an attack by al-Qaeda separatists in the war-torn Middle Eastern country of Yemen.

Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) attacked several positions of a group called the United Arab Emirates-trained Security Belt in Yemen’s southern Abyan province, news agency AFP reported.
