According to hospital sources, the girl has undergone a surgery on her throat. He is being fed with a liquid feeding tube. Samples have been collected and sent to Mumbai for rape investigation. His report is due in two or three days.
The police arrested Sanjay Teli after reading the girl’s writing. The investigating officer said that he had confessed to the crime. The young man was taken to the thick forest of the tea garden and the knife was recovered. The bag was lying nearby. Among them was a girl’s dress. Various organizations of Cachar have come out protesting this incident and demanding punishment of the accused.
